THE MAJOR COUGHING MILLIONAIRE SCANDAL
Following a sold out run at Chichester Festival Theatre, Quiz – the sensational new comedy from ‘this country’s political playwright par excellence’ (Evening Standard), James Graham (This House, Ink, Labour of Love) – transfers to the West End for a limited 12-week run at the Noël Coward Theatre.
A provocative re-examination of the case against Charles Ingram, the ‘coughing Major’, for cheating on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Quiz ‘highlights the dangerous blending of entertainment, politics and justice today’ (Sunday Times).
Quiz is a fictional imagination based on real events which took place in 2001 following an episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? It is not in any way connected with the makers of the programme or any of the individuals portrayed.

Hugely Amusing
13 May 2018
Wasn’t sure what to expect, but loved the way the audience were asked to participate. Very clever concept skilfully put together. Was entertained from beginning to end. Also made you think about how we are influenced and manipulated by the media.

A fun night
13 May 2018
Inventive, thoughtful, funny. Everyone knows the story so this play had to give something to make this work over 2 hours. And they succeeded. I went with my American friend and she didn't know the story but also enjoyed it. Well done!
