Blood Brothers London

Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences. The incredible score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True. Now commonly regarded as one of the all time great British musicals, Blood Brothers has touched the hearts and minds of a generation of theatregoers in dealing with two of the most pressing social issues of our time - inequality and unemployment. A single mother in financial desperation gives away one of her new-born twin sons and attempts to keep them from discovering one another's true identity. However, their lives become unavoidably linked and her secrecy leads them to a tragic ending.

"This was my 4th visit to Blood Brothers - twice at Phoenix and twice on tour and it was just as amazing. I am not usually a fan of "stars" in shows but Marti Pellow was incredible as The Narrator and delivered the menace within his character amazingly. Needless to say I cried like a baby from part way through the 2nd Act - I find the scene between the grown up Eddie and Linda a perfect foil for the down-hearted Mickey. An amazing show and I see that Blood Brothers continues to tour so will definitely a 5th trip. An incredible show!"

"I went with my wife, who has seen this show twice before, she was so impressed with it that she wanted me to see it. We are both in our 70's and I must say I enjoyed it very much, to say it is emotional is an understatement, the acting was superb so much so that for me I don't think I could see it again, I was quite upset at the end. Proves how good it was very real."

"This is my second time and it won't be my last. Blood Brothers is truly an emotional roller coaster ride. Undeniably believable because of a faithful portrayal by each actor of their character. The comedy is uplifting. The tragedy touches your very core. Hardly a dry eye in the house. Everyone on their feet for a remarkable deserved ovation. Wished I'd seen it sooner. "I have seen the show twice before - the last time was 19 years ago. This time I wanted to take my two children (aged 10 and 13). I didn't know what to get them for Christmas and wanted to do something different - Blood Brothers was the solution! A day of shopping follwed by this fab show. They absolutely loved it, my son thought it was hilarious and was pleased to be seated at the front where the off stage action was! My daughter at 13 even admited to a few tears! The current cast are fantastic and it was a bonus to see the lovely Marti Pellow - I didn't know he was in it until after I booked the tickets. Love it and a great way to introduce (older) children to a top show. Im sure I will go again."

"I took my mother to this, expecting not much more than an average west end musical. She was spell- bound, tearful, laughed like a kid and was the first up in her seat to lead the somewhat hesitant standing ovation. God Bless you for that. Yes, a few dodgy accents, late lines and croaky voices were part of it – but the magic of the West End was encapsulated in one show. Great to see a proper cast without the “celebrity” cameo bait and bigger thanks to the website for the deal. I got a massive discount and ended up with best Stall seats on a Saturday night performance. Worth every penny. Take your mum and share her magic and enjoyment. I defy you it will give you a lovely glow inside....."

"It is easy to doubt the veracity of a website offering such a good offer on top price seats when no other website comes close, but I guess it just pays to have faith. Just as well, really as I convinced 4 other friends to make bookings of their own! The service from your staff was beyond helpful, the seats were fantastic (5th row stalls), and the show was good, though not as good as the other 3 times I´ve seen it. "i expected great things from this show after being told about it from friends,but came away disappointed.For me the greatest thing to happen to you when watching theatre is that moment or if you are lucky moments!when you FEEL something or the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.I didnt get this with this production,although the story was brilliantly written and acted out,the cast had memorable voices and the sets were excellent,for me there was not that `magic.I have felt that `magic` on almost all of my visits to theatres most especially `Les Mis`and waited for that to happen on this occasion but to no avail."

"There aren't many musicals in the West End that I havent seen but somehow Blood Brothers had eluded me until now. But I absolutely loved the show - the quality of the acting, particularly Mickey post-prison, was amazing and I had no idea Natasha Hamilton (ex Pussy Cat Dolls) had such an awesome voice. Blood Brothers does not have as many singalong hits as a show like Lion King or the Sound of Music but its gritty, gripping storyline about real people and real social problems means it stands alone as an excellent play even without the songs. It was also laugh-out-loud funny, particularly in the first half when adult actors play young children to huge comic effect!"

"Having booked 'best available' seats at an excellent price - I was concerned that I might have been misled. However it made a weekend visitng our son perfect. The theatre had so much character, was centrally located and close to restaurants for pre or post dining. We had never seen this show before so did not know what to expect. "I didn't know much about the show before I went to see it. I saw it on 27th January and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was AMAZING! The cast were Wonderful! Natasha Hamilton was Fantastic as Mrs Johnstone and she had only been playing the role for three days! We were sat about 6 rows back in the stalls. "Fantastic show. Fourth time I have seen it but went with 6 of my friends for my birthday so it was my choice. All thoroughly enjoyed it and the tickets were less than half price. "We were late arriving for the performance but were shown quickly to our seats. I thoroughly enjoyed the show despite having seen it on several previous occasions. My husband, who could not be described as a theatre goer, also enjoyed the performance. The theatre is wonderful It feels like you are going back in time as you enter the well preserved masterpiece. "During December my husband's mother sadly passed away and as a treat I bought the West End 'Blood Brother' theatre tickets for his birthday as he has his roots and childhood memories deeply embedded in Liverpool. I had some trepidation that the show was going to be too sad at this time but he was delighted on receiving them. Well, what can I say about the show, the actors and the actresses's apart from totally unforgettable. We were taken from belly aching laughter to real tears of sorrow. Our party consisted of ages from 12 to 44 and each and everyone of us was spell bound. Blood Brothers is a show that should not be missed, a real gem from beginning to end. The experience of this show and the mixed emotions it triggered will stay with us all for a very long time. As we walked towards the exit I got a lovely hug from my husband and the look in his eyes said it all. A powerful production indeed!"

"Wasn't sure about going to see this show,had been talked into it by friends who had already seen the show on another occasion. Thank goodness I listened to my friends and booked. The show was probably one of the best I have seen in a long time it even beats Broadway. I was transported to Liverpool, became not an onlooker but part of the community of the day. So caught up was I that I felt all the emotions of the mother broke my heart when the boys finally discovered their true identities. Will go to see the show again."

"We found the whole experience brilliant. we arrived at the theatre quite late having travelled in from the Docklands. the tickets were available immediately. The seats were good - in the stalls and not too far back. The show was great and we both cried. We'd definitely use this site again for hassle-free theatre booking. "What a fantastic evenings entertainment.The first half was brilliant and funny setting the scene for the tragic events that were about to unfold.As the tension grew the audience became more and more enthralled and the tension was almost palpable.As the curtains fell most wiped away a tear and rose to their feet in applause but what struck me most was the sheer emotion on the faces of the main characters they really did give their all and were totally spent.This is an adult show dealing with the realities of life it made me laugh a lot and cry a little -i loved every minute of it and would definately go again given half a chance.Fab seats to at a very reasonable price thanks to uktheatretickets.co.uk."

"I havent been to see a musical for over 4 years. This was an exhilarating 'welcome back' to what used to be one of my favourite pastimes. Good value for money. From the atmosphere of the Phoenix theatre - small enough to still feel cosy and yet big enough to avoid the feeling of being cramped. The cast did themselves proud and the technical crew achieved a balance of effective minimalism i.e. using the least stage props without loosing the desired effects. It was an evening well spent in the company of a dear friend."

"I recently booked 4 tickets for Blood Brothers at the Pheonix Theatre as my Mum and Dad were visiting London and I wanted to treat them.. Not having laods of money to spend I spent ages searching for the cheapest options available and found UK theatre tickets website. I found 4 'best available' tickets which were the cheapest I had seen and hoped for the best. I was amazed when we got there to find we were in the stalls 4 rows from the front with a brilliant view of the stage. The show was fantastic, and the seats made the experience so much more intense and memorable. My parents really enjoyed it and I was thrilled at the show and the bargin price of the tickets. We arrived in town early and had dinner before the show and we arrived at the Theatre about half hour before the show. "Went to see Blood Brothers through this site,the price was excellent for what we got.I was slightly concerned that i didnt get to see a seating plan whilst booking my tickets but that is the only negative i can give. The show itself was amazing,talk about take you through every emotion,we were laughing out loud and then crying(well i was anyway...my husband was more controlled).The whole audience rose from their seats at the end. "I been planning a trip to London for some time, with two teenagers I also wanted them to experience a trip to the theatre whilst there. "Absolutely brilliant! We were in seats H2-4 in stalls and had a perfect view. The three of us were gripped throughout the production and were in tears by the end. Niki Evans as Mrs Johnstone and Stephen Palfreman as Mickey were extremely realistic and believable particularly for those of us who can remember that era. The acting was energetic and the plot fast moving and as we were close to the stage we felt that we were actually involved in it! Two well deserved standing ovations. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this musical to others."

The actors that played Mickey and Edward were sensational and were able to covince the audience they were 5 to 25 years of age, through physicalisation and voice. Ensemble cast excellent. "My name is Trinh Ho. It was easy purchasing the tickets. One thing that I did not like was that the seats numbers were not stated before I bought the tickets. Usually it is easy to pick up the tickets. I would just give the box office my name. They would hand me a ready envelope with my tickets in them. Unfortunately, this time their computers were down. There were only 3 groups of people in front of me picking up their tickets, but it took more then 30 mins for me to get to me. Luckily my tickets were ready when I got up there. I understand that it was uncontrollable that the computers were down. Other then that, I enjoyed the show!. The entire cast was awesome!"

"Really enjoyed Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre. Hassle free booking and brilliant seats. Have MS and this was my first theatre trip to London using the underground. Was grateful for the comfy seat when we arrived at the Theatre. I would definately like to arrange another show, but due to fatigue, would probably go straight to the theatre next time."

"I really enjoyed Blood Brothers and was impressed with getting good seats - it was a top price seat for standard seat price. I paid more than the price printed on the tickets so i wonder if i was charged too much but i think this is the profit UK Theatre Tickets make. I will use the site again in the future."

"I took my partner and two teenage daughters to see the matinee performance of Blood brothers on Easter Saturday. This was the most powerful and well acted musical drama that we have ever had the privilege to see in the West End. Mel C. was superb and we were all in floods of tears at the finale as the raw passion that she put into her performance just opened our tear ducts. The whole cast were superb and each and every one of them deserved the standing ovation that they received at the end of the show. The Phoenix theatre is relatively small by West End standards but this just adds to the intimacy of the whole performance. I would thoroughly recommend any body to go and see this production, but take a pack of tissues with you as this musical is not for the faint hearted. The stalls tickets were brilliant value for money, thank you."

"I had an amazing time at the Blood Brothers musical Tuesday 4th May 2010. It was my second time and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. The cast are very impressive (Mikey in particular) and the singing is note perfect. I love the humour and think the narrator is a very clever and well played character as (what I can only descrobe as) their subconcious. The price of the tickets and the ease of the website was satisfying."

"I wasn't sure what I would think of Blood Brothers as I didn't even know the plot, It was brilliant! I enjoyed it so much and have recommended it to all of my friends, I especially liked the narrator's voice."

"I bought these tickets for my partners 30th birthday and was not dissapointed. The tickets were a great price, only 8 rows from stage, confirmation received in post and no problem picking up from box office. The show is highly reccommended, very well written with a mixture of comedy and sadness. Mel c was fantastic. Partner rates this show as best seen so far. Have already recommended friends go to see it."
