Could Suzi Quatro the Musical be coming to the West End?
Wednesday, 2 March 2011
Fans of Suzi Quatro might like to keep their eyes peeled for news of a musical based on her life.
The 60-year-old rocker told the Telegraph this week that such a show has been mentioned many times and it is something she could be interested in.
She explained that the tale of her career and music would make an excellent story for theatregoers and a musical just needs to be given her blessing.
"I'm the first woman who was taken seriously as a rock musician, so it could be done, but it needs to be done right," Quatro commented.
When asked who would play her in her younger years, the musician suggested KT Tunstall, but she added that she would have to have a role as modern-day herself at the end too.
Quatro enjoyed hits such as Can The Can, 48 Crash and Devil Gate Drive in the 1970s and is widely credited for paving the way for female artists including Joan Jett later on.
