Amanda Holden to return to Shrek preparations next month
Wednesday, 2 March 2011
Amanda Holden is to return to work next month, when she will start rehearsals for the forthcoming Shrek musical.
The performer has been out of the public eye recently after she tragically suffered a miscarriage during her seventh month of pregnancy.
Although a spokesperson has said she is still "devastated" by the unborn child's death, she is reportedly keen to focus on her career as a distraction.
"She is determined to get through this. She intends to throw herself into work and continue with the healing process," the source said.
Shrek the Musical opens at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in May and also stars Richard Blackwood and Nigel Harman.
However, Holden will take a brief break from the show later the same month in order to return to the Britain's Got Talent judging panel.
She is sure to be hoping her new West End venture is as successful as her previous outing in Thoroughly Modern Millie, which saw her nominated for an Olivier Award in 2004.
