London theatre ticket news Blood Brothers classed as exceptional
Friday, 25 February 2011
A theatre director has suggested that even people who do not like musicals might enjoy Blood Brothers, which could prompt further London theatre ticket sales for the already-popular production.
The show is currently being staged in the West End at the Phoenix Theatre, but a version is also being produced at the York Little Theatre in Pennsylvania by Melissa McGinley.
Speaking to Broadway World, she claimed Blood Brothers can be the exception for many people who normally do not like musicals.
"I think that it is such a strong story that you can't help but find something in it that speaks to you," Ms McGinley told the online resource.
She explained that people do not simply burst out into song for no reason - the music always serves to advance the plot.
People heading to the Phoenix Theatre in London for the show will hear the fabulous score, which includes songs such as Bright New Day and Tell Me It's Not True.
