Ghost Stories writer 'likes motivational literature'
Friday, 25 February 2011
Fans of the West End show Ghost Stories may be interested to hear that the co-writer of the production has a passion for motivational books.
Jeremy Dyson, who penned the ghoulish tale with Andy Nyman, wrote in the Daily Express that he never tires of reading the guidance of Emmet Fox.
He selected the author's Find And Use Your Inner Power title as one of his six favourite books.
"Fox was a brilliant thinker, popular in the 1930s and 1940s," remarked Dyson.
"His psychological readings of biblical texts are full of truth, often startlingly so."
Dyson, perhaps still better known for his role in creating bizarre black comedy series The League of Gentlemen, noted that Fox's work is still in print but is out of fashion.
Ghost Stories, which is playing at the Duke of York's Theatre, is not suitable for anyone under the age of 15 due to the shock and tension the show delivers.
