Love Never Dies star credits Las Vegas with providing her big break
Thursday, 17 February 2011
Love Never Dies star Sierra Boggess has said she will forever be grateful that she chose to head to Las Vegas and perform in a show.
The actress played Christine in Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular on the strip in 2006 and she told the Las Vegas Weekly that it gave her the opportunity to break into the big time.
Andrew Lloyd Webber was heavily involved in the production and spotted her potential, calling her "one of the best Christines I've ever seen".
As a result, he kept Boggess firmly in mind and chose her from hundreds of hopefuls when he wanted a new female lead for Phantom sequel Love Never Dies last year.
Boggess now displays a photo of herself and Lord Lloyd Webber on her dressing room coffee table and said she thinks Love Never Dies features "the most beautiful score Andrew has ever written".
The actress is leaving the musical next month to pursue other projects, but Celia Graham will succeed her on March 7th 2011. The show is currently booking at the Adelphi Theatre until May 28th.
