Mamma Mia! is helping to bring Abba's music to new audiences'
Tuesday, 15 February 2011
Mamma Mia! in the West End is helping a new generation of music lovers to discover the joys of Abba's songs, one website has said.
The Denbighshire Free Press stated that getting tickets to the musical is still a priority for many people when they visit the capital, despite the fact that it has been open for more than a decade.
It pointed out that although there has since been a movie adaptation of Mamma Mia!, going to the musical version at the Prince of Wales Theatre may be more satisfying thanks to the "bigger song and dance routines".
The article also said that the live nature and the ambience of the theatre should enhance the experience still further.
In a recent interview with Broadway.com, actress Harriet Thorpe - who plays Tanya in the production - said she loves her character because of her witty, devil-may-care attitude.
Mamma Mia! is currently booking until April 28th 2012.
