Billy Elliot star watches siblings follow in his performing footsteps
Monday, 7 February 2011
One of the cast of Billy Elliot has taken time out from performing to see his younger siblings follow in his footsteps.
Connor Kelly landed the role of Michael in the West End musical in 2009 and moved to London to pursue his acting dream, the Scunthorpe Telegraph reports.
However, the 12-year-old recently returned to his hometown of Bottesford in order to see his nine-year-old brother Fraser and sister Daisy, six, take to the stage.
The pair starred in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory at Holme Valley Primary School.
Talking proudly about his older sibling, Fraser said: "I just love singing and dancing like my brother. I want to do exactly what my brother has done so far."
Meanwhile, Connor explained how he loves performing in the show at the Victoria Palace Theatre and described his life as "amazing".
The production is adapted from the original film, which was released in 2000 and tells the story of a boy fighting prejudice in pursuit of his dream to be a dancer.
