Tragedy for Shrek star Holden as baby is stillborn
Monday, 7 February 2011
Shrek star Amanda Holden has tragically lost her baby son, who was stillborn seven months into the pregnancy.
The Britain's Got Talent judge only announced she was expecting the child in January after revealing she was apprehensive about making the news public.
Having lost another baby in 2010, Holden told the News of the World that she had waited until she reached the six-month point in case she miscarried again.
The mother-of-one was due to give birth in March, three months before appearing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane as Princess Fiona in Shrek.
It is believed Holden, who previously showed no signs of problems in the pregnancy, is currently awaiting the results of tests to discover what happened.
The TV personality is married to Chris Hughes and the pair have a five-year-old daughter, Lexi.
Alison Griffin, Holden's representative, said the couple were "utterly devastated" by the turn of events.
