Dreamboats and Petticoats launches new song competition

Budding songwriters may be interested to hear about a new competition launched by the producers of Dreamboats and Petticoats.
Entrants will have the opportunity to write and submit a rock and roll song, with the winner set to feature in the musical, as well as on its forthcoming official soundtrack.
Among the judging panel will be Neil Sedaka and 10CC's Graham Gouldman.
"This is a great opportunity for us to see what talent is out there," Gouldman commented, explaining that he started his own career with this kind of music.
Dreamboats and Petticoats creator Brian Berg said he is keen to see if the competition will find the next Rock Around The Clock and called it "a dream opportunity".
Anyone hoping to enter must be over 18 and is required to submit their MP3 recording via the musical's official website by March 31st 2011.
Dreamboats and Petticoats is currently booking until November 26th 2011.
