Sheridan Smith I'm nervous about my new West End venture
Monday, 31 January 2011
Former Legally Blonde actress Sheridan Smith has revealed she is nervous about her new West End project Flare Path.
The performer will star in the Terence Rattigan play - directed by Trevor Nunn - alongside Sienna Miller soon and she said on her Twitter page that rehearsals start this week.
Commenting that meeting a new cast is "like a first day of school", Smith added that she wishes "there were a couple of tap numbers in it" to make her feel more at ease.
The actress also said she will have to retrain her body clock to get used to early morning rehearsals, as she is so accustomed to getting a lie-in after a year on Legally Blonde.
Flare Path tells the story of a love triangle between a World War II RAF pilot, his wife and one of his flying colleagues as they try to live their lives amid a backdrop of bombing raids and rationing.
Meanwhile, Susan McFadden has taken over from Smith in Legally Blonde.
