Stacey Solomon I'd love to appear in plays or musicals
Tuesday, 25 January 2011
Former X Factor star Stacey Solomon has said she would love to try her hand at appearing in stage plays or musicals after entering the world of showbiz via The X Factor.
The 21-year-old Essex native came third in the 2009 series of the reality TV show, but failed to land a record deal afterwards.
However, she has remained in the spotlight and recently won I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here after winning over the voting public.
Now, she has told the Sun that she wants to try anything and everything as part of her new career.
"TV presenting, singing, even some musicals and stage acting. I love all of it. I feel like I was born to do it," Solomon enthused.
The mother-of-one would certainly not be the first X Factor contestant to go on to success on the West End stage. Nikki Evans achieved success in Blood Brothers, Lucy Jones won a role in Les Miserables and Ray Quinn has appeared in both Grease and Dirty Dancing.
