Susan McFadden I'd love to do Wicked
Friday, 21 January 2011
She is currently starring in Legally Blonde and has played Sandy in Grease, but Susan McFadden has said she would also like a role in another West End show.
The performer told Broadway.com that she may eventually like to play Elphaba in Wicked if the opportunity ever arises.
"Though I'm sure I'd be thought of as Glinda first because of my looks," she commented.
"Obviously, Elle [Woods in Legally Blonde] is such a great role … we'll see what's next!"
Rachel Tucker is currently playing Elphaba following a recent extension to her contract, while Louise Dearman is continuing in the role of Glinda.
Wicked tells the story of how the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the East came to be as they were when Dorothy encountered them in The Wizard of Oz.
It has been a huge success since it opened in London in September 2006 and was recently named as Best Musical of the Decade by Entertainment Weekly.
