Dancer celebrates landing role in We Will Rock You
Tuesday, 18 January 2011
A dancer originally from the north-east is celebrating after landing a role in West End musical We Will Rock You.
Louisa Barratt, 30, has been in a number of shows in the past, including the long-running production Cats, the Jarrow and Hepburn Gazette reports.
However, she will now be heading to the Dominion Theatre, which she said is ideal because her husband Tim is currently appearing in Chicago nearby as an understudy for Billy Flynn.
"I'm so excited about being in We Will Rock You," Ms Barratt enthused.
Earlier this month, Queen musician Brian May confirmed that he is collaborating with Ben Elton to produce a movie version of We Will Rock You.
The production has been a great success since it first opened in the West End of London in 2002, so fans may wish to head to cinemas in order to check it out when it is eventually released.
