Tuesday, 4 January 2011
Theatregoers planning on heading to the world famous West End to catch a show this year have been given a number of top tips by stars Sheridan Smith and Tamzin Outhwaite.
Speaking to the BBC at the What's On Stage nominations party, Smith - who has been treading the boards in Legally Blonde - said that she is "really looking" forward to being a member of the audience rather than the ensemble in 2011.
She said she is most excited about the upcoming stage version of hit weepy Ghost, as well as The Wizard of Oz and Shrek the Musical.
Star of Sweet Charity Tamzin Outhwaite told the source that Shrek is also on her to-see list for 2011. As well as the stage version of the family favourite, Outhwaite spoke of her excitement about the Spelling Bee at the Donmar Warehouse and Matilda at the RSC.
Previews of Ghost are set to begin on June 22nd this year, with Shrek due to preview in early May.
