London theatre tickets to be available for Showstopper! The Improvised Musical
Tuesday, 21 December 2010
It has been revealed that London theatre tickets are to be available for Showstopper! The Improvised Musical for a limited run next year.
The show will come to the Ambassadors Theatre from February 8th to March 29th 2011, sharing its residency with long-running performance Stomp, Official London Theatre reports.
It has been seen at the Edinburgh Festival every year since 2008 and results in a completely new musical every time it appears.
This is because the performers ask the audience for ideas each night and then create something different based on their suggestions.
The idea was created by Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery, who began improvisation sessions at the Actors' Centre in London and realised it would be fun to create a whole musical this way.
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical has enjoyed positive reviews from various sources, including Lyn Gardner of the Guardian, who called it "an ingenious and engaging mix of improvisation and musical theatre".
