London theatre critics to re review Love Never Dies tonight

Tuesday, 21 December 2010

London theatre critics are to be invited back to Love Never Dies tonight (December 21st 2010) in order to review it again following the implementation of some changes.

The musical at the Adelphi Theatre officially opened in March this year, but was briefly closed in November so that Andrew Lloyd Webber could tweak some of the staging.

Now, Playbill reports that the theatre mogul wants journalists to come back and look at the new version, which includes the repositioning of the Phantom's ballad Till I Hear You Sing to the very beginning of the show.

Lord Lloyd Webber is no doubt hoping for some positive feedback similar to that he received earlier this year from sources including Ray Bennett of the Hollywood Reporter.

Commenting that it is "filled with infectious melodies", he said he found it every bit as good as its predecessor, Phantom of the Opera and praised Sierra Boggess as Christine in particular.
