Les Miserables actors help to raise money for armed forces
Wednesday, 15 December 2010
Four actors associated with Les Miserables are helping to raise money for British troops thanks to a new charity single.
The version of Bring Him Home that was performed at the O2 Arena this year as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for the show has now been released via iTunes and in music stores.
All proceeds will go to Tickets for Troops, which provides guest passes to theatrical, cultural and sporting events for servicemen and women, WhatsonStage.com reports.
Alfie Boe, Colm Wilkinson, John Owen-Jones and Simon Bowman - who have all appeared as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables at some point in its lifespan - have joined together to record the track.
Bring Him Home will also be shown on the televised Royal Variety Performance tomorrow (December 16th 2010).
Last month, it was reported by Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail that Boe is to begin playing Jean Valjean at the Queen's Theatre in early June 2011.
