Tuesday, 7 December 2010
Anyone who has not yet seen Billy Elliot the Musical may be pleased to know that London theatre tickets will now be available for the show for longer.
Its booking period has been extended from April until December 17th 2011 at the Victoria Palace Theatre, where it has been running since 2005, due to continuing high demand.
Billy Elliot has now been seen my more than three million people in the West End, with both audiences and critics alike lauding it for its moving storyline.
Charles Spencer of the Daily Telegraph called it "the greatest British musical I have ever seen", while Mark Shenton of the Express recently said it is a dazzling example of how a film can be successfully adapted for the stage.
Billy Elliot tells the story of a young boy from the north-east of England, who dreams of becoming a dancer but fears what his tough mining community - and particularly his father - will think of him.
