Love Never Dies star to appear in Rebecca?
Friday, 26 November 2010
It has been suggested that Sierra Boggess from Love Never Dies could soon be appearing in a new West End adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca.
Theatre gossip columnist Baz Bamigboye wrote in his regular column for the Daily Mail that the actress is currently involved in "complex negotiations" with producers, who want her to take on the role of Maxim de Winter's second wife in the play.
Rebecca is to replace Flashdance at the Shaftesbury Theatre from May 2011 onwards, while Love Never Dies is ongoing at the Adelphi Theatre.
Boggess's contract ends on March 12th 2011, but Mr Bamigboye states that the American's visa and other work permits would need to be extended before she can take on another theatre role.
It is not yet known who would replace Boggess as Christine in Love Never Dies, which also stars Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and is set ten years after the action that took place in Phantom of the Opera.
