Ghost 'has all the ingredients to become a great musical'
Wednesday, 24 November 2010
The producer of Ghost the Musical has said he is really looking forward to bringing it to the West End next year.
Colin Ingram told Official London Theatre that he is sure it will work tremendously well on stage, even though there is a certain amount of pressure because the original film was so successful.
He explained that he believes it was just about making sure he had the right people to make up the cast.
"We want this to be something that's here for a long time. There's an intimacy about the Piccadilly Theatre and there's an intimacy about this story … it has all the ingredients to become a great musical," Mr Ingram added.
Richard Fleeshman is to play Sam - the character made famous by Patrick Swayze - and he told the same news provider earlier this week that the role is "like the Holy Grail".
Caissie Levy is to play Molly and Sharon D Clarke will star as Oda Mae Brown.
