Fleeshman Ghost role is like the Holy Grail
Tuesday, 23 November 2010
Actor Richard Fleeshman has said he is thrilled to be taking the lead role in Ghost the Musical, which will arrive in the West End next July.
The former Coronation Street star is to take on the part created by Patrick Swayze in the original film and he told Official London Theatre he can't wait.
Speaking at the musical's launch at the Abbey Road Studios, he described the show as the "Holy Grail of musical theatre" and added: "It's one of those days that I'm just going to have to bank."
Ghost the Musical will be showing at the Piccadilly Theatre and will also star Caissie Levy as Molly and Sharon D Clarke as Oda Mae Brown.
Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail recently said he thinks Levy is a fine choice to take the lead female role, as "her singing is underpinned with an emotional intensity that's very moving".
