Monday, 8 November 2010
A talented dancer has described her recent appointment in West End musical We Will Rock You as a dream come true.
Emily Whitehead, 25, recently won a part in the show after auditioning three times and she told This is Gloucestershire she is thrilled to now be performing in eight shows a week at the Dominion Theatre.
"The cast are phenomenal. They're a lovely company to work for. Just being on the West End stage has been a dream for so long - I still have to pinch myself every day," she commented.
Ms Whitehead's mother Lynne said she recently went to see her daughter in We Will Rock You and found the show to be unbelievable.
It features hits from Queen, but also tells a story that is sure to delight sci-fi movie fans and anyone who likes a good thriller, portraying a landscape in which conformism is enforced and all musical instruments are banned.
However, a poor boy from a poor family is getting ever-more frustrated and decides to lead a rebellion against The Company - will he complete his quest?
