Blood Brothers 'is almost perfection'
Tuesday, 26 October 2010
West End stalwart Blood Brothers has been recommended to London theatre fans by one reviewer, who said he cannot stop going to see it.
Michael Worrall from PlatformOnline explained he has watched the play six times, but it never gets tired.
The critic particularly highlighted the performances of Lyn Paul as Mrs Johnstone and Stephen Palfreman and Simon Willmont as twins Mickey and Eddie as being worth watching.
"Blood Brothers continues to give me shivers throughout," Mr Worrall commented, adding that it is "almost perfection" and urging people who have not yet done so to go and see it at the Phoenix Theatre.
In August 2010, it was revealed that Blood Brothers will now be booking until November 26th 2011 after being given a 12-month extension.
The play tells the story of Mrs Johnstone, a poor Liverpudlian who finds herself pregnant with twins.
She gives one up for adoption as she is unable to cope, but sparks fly after the boys meet up years later, each unaware of who the other really is.
