Ghost Stories to present special Halloween showing
Friday, 22 October 2010
Those of a strong disposition may want to head to the Duke of York's Theatre next week for a special Halloween showing of Ghost Stories.
According to Alice Jones of the Independent, the scary play is to stage a midnight play on the night of October 30th into October 31st 2010, which could appeal to all things supernatural.
"The play is scary at the best of times, but the witching hour could see the theatre's own ghost make an appearance," Ms Jones commented.
Apparently, the venue is said to be haunted by Violet Melnotte, an actress who died in 1935 and still pays the occasional visit to the boxes.
Ghost Stories' official website helpfully points out that the theatre's bar opens an hour before each performance for those who need to stock up on some Dutch courage.
The play recently extended its booking period to February 2011, but is not suitable for those under the age of 15.
