Having London theatre tickets available on a Sunday 'is great for Brits'
Monday, 18 October 2010
A commentator has said she thinks it is great that people can get hold of London theatre tickets for Sunday performances.
Lyn Gardner, writing for the Guardian, said being able to catch a West End show during what may otherwise be a quiet day during the weekend is a real treat and she recommended that theatres elsewhere would do well to open their doors on Sundays too.
"It's good to see theatres responding to audience needs rather than just their own needs," she commented.
Ms Gardner suggested Ghost Stories and The Lion King as productions which currently offer London theatre tickets for Sunday performances.
The first - currently showing at the Duke of York's Theatre - could be ideal for adults looking for spooky entertainment during their free time, while The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre may be more suitable for families with young children.
Both have received excellent reviews from critics during their time in the West End.
