Host of stars get hold of London theatre tickets for Flashdance

A host of celebrities were among those who got hold of London theatre tickets for the grand opening of Flashdance the Musical last night (October 14th 2010).
Snapped on the red carpet before taking in the show were Kelly Brook, Denis Lawson and Craig Revel Horwood, whose friend Arlene Phillips did the choreography for the show.
Also there at the Shaftesbury Theatre were others who have recently been treading the boards themselves, with Noel Sullivan (Grease), Ali Bastian (Burn the Floor) and Duncan James (Legally Blonde) to name but a few.
Flashdance the Musical is based on the 1983 film and features the hit songs Maniac, What a Feeling and Lady, Lady, Lady.
It tells the story of 18-year-old Alex, who is a welder by day and an exotic dancer by night, but longs to be a professional ballet dancer.
The show has already been praised by critics and should appeal to fans of Dirty Dancing and similarly feelgood musicals.
