Whoopi Goldberg to make dramatic return to Sister Act next month
Thursday, 9 September 2010
Whoopi Goldberg fans who did not get the chance to catch her in Sister Act may be delighted to know that she is to make a dramatic return to the musical.
The Hollywood star had been drawing in huge crowds during her stint as Mother Superior, but was forced to pull out and fly back home after her mother had a stroke.
Earlier this week, Goldberg revealed the elderly lady had passed away shortly after she reached her bedside.
However, it has now been reported that she is to return to the London Palladium to play the head nun on October 22nd to 23rd and October 25th 2010, for a strictly limited run of five performances.
This will come shortly before Sister Act's final closure in the West End on October 30th.
Goldberg created a fresh rush of interest in the musical and it achieved its highest-ever grossing week during August.
