London theatre tickets news Strikes could affect journey times

Monday, 6 September 2010

Anyone with London theatre tickets for shows tonight (September 6th 2010) or tomorrow has been advised to leave plenty of time to get into the West End.

Strikes on the Underground are currently causing problems for the entire transport network, with hundreds of staff having gone on strike over working conditions and pay.

Not only will much of the tube network grind to a halt, but buses and trains are expected to become very congested due to the additional traffic caused by the strikes.

People with London theatre tickets for plays and musicals have been advised to get to their venue in plenty of time, as no refunds will be offered for shows that are missed as a result of delays.

Guided cycle rides are to be laid on tomorrow morning, when chaperones will guide people on bicycles into the city centre, while discounts have also been applied to the riverboat service to cope with demand.
