Les Miserables extends its booking period
Thursday, 26 August 2010
The booking period for Les Miserables in the West End has been extended by another eight months, it has been revealed.
According to LondonTheatre.co.uk, tickets for the show will now be available until at least October 26th 2011, instead of the previous deadline of February that year.
Les Miserables is the longest-running musical in London theatre history, having surpassed Cats in 2006.
It celebrates its 25th anniversary in the capital during 2010 and two additional productions will soon be arriving to commemorate the milestone, alongside the original at the Queen's Theatre.
Earlier this month, Les Miserables was described as "timeless" by critic Micheal Worrall, writing for Platform magazine.
He said he recently went to see it and found it as good now as it was when it first raised its curtains more than two decades ago.
The show played its 10,000th performance in January 2010, with celebrations taking place to mark the occasion.
