The Go! Go! Go! Show 'is a family musical'
Wednesday, 11 August 2010
The Go! Go! Go! Show is perfect for families with children of all ages, its creator has said.
Mike Stock - part of the Stock Aitken Waterman phenomenon - told the Daily Mail the musical came about because he was increasingly frustrated with raunchy pop music videos and the dance routines of supposedly child-friendly stars.
He said he wanted to write a show that even two-year-olds could watch without being exposed to adult themes.
"We've written a family-orientated show. [Mothers' groups] have been telling me what they want - and we have been trying to deliver it," Mr Stock commented.
The result was The Go! Go! Go! Show, which will be booking at the Leicester Square Theatre during the daytime until August 30th 2010.
Producer Steve Crosby recently told WhatsonStage.com the musical could be ideal for people who want tunes like those made popular by Steps.
Stock Aitken Waterman were behind a host of 1980s pop hits from the likes of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Rick Astley.
