London theatre tickets now available for The 39 Steps for longer
Tuesday, 10 August 2010
People who have not yet bought London theatre tickets for The 39 Steps now have a little longer in which to do so.
It has been announced that the play will now be booking at the Criterion Theatre in London until October 22nd 2011, eight months longer than originally planned.
The show originally opened in West Yorkshire in 2005, but transferred to the West End in September 2006 due to critical acclaim.
A spoof of the Alfred Hitchcock film of the same name, The 39 Steps features all of the movie's scenes, but with added comedic value.
It tells the story of a man named Richard, who goes on the run after being accused of a dastardly murder and finds himself involved in cross-country espionage.
The play welcomed a new cast in April 2010, with Dianne Pilkington, David Bark-Jones, Timothy Speyer and Jeremy Swift now sharing more than 139 roles between them.
