Tamzin Outhwaite misses two Sweet Charity shows after fall
Friday, 6 August 2010
Tamzin Outhwaite was forced to pull out of two performances of Sweet Charity this week after hurting herself in a fall on stage.
The actress, who plays lead character Charity Hope Valentine in the musical, slipped at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on Tuesday (August 3rd 2010) and injured her ankle, Contact Music reports.
Although she bravely soldiered on that night, she continued to be in pain the following day and was advised by her doctor to give Wednesday's shows a miss.
After spending the day with an ice pack on her foot, Outhwaite was able to return to Sweet Charity yesterday, even though she still had a slight limp.
Commenting on her performance, she Tweeted: "Limped through the show tonight but a wicked audience kept me going!! Thank you xx."
In May, Outhwaite told the Daily Mail's You magazine that being in Sweet Charity is a dream come true, explaining the excitement of performing in front of a live audience is really exhilarating.
