Leona Lewis gets London theatre tickets for Avenue Q before it closes
Wednesday, 4 August 2010
Leona Lewis sensibly got hold of London theatre tickets for Avenue Q this week ahead of its closure in a couple of months.
It was announced in July that the musical - which has been described as a grown-up, naughty version of Sesame Street - will close its doors for the final time on October 30th 2010.
X Factor winner Lewis was spotted last night (August 3rd) watching the show at the Wyndham's Theatre and then hobnobbing with characters including Kate Monster and Trekkie Monster backstage afterwards.
She Tweeted later: "Had such a laugh [at] Avenue Q tonight! It's my second time going [and] it's just hilarious! Go see it if you haven't already."
Lewis may have opted to buy London theatre tickets to such a funny show to cheer herself up after splitting from her long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa recently.
Avenue Q first opened in the West End at the Noel Coward Theatre before moving on to the Gielgud and finally Wyndham's Theatre earlier in 2010.
