Ghost Stories 'is a scary, funny must see'
Thursday, 29 July 2010
Ghost Stories has been recommended to London theatre fans who are not of a nervous disposition.
Duncan Hepburn of the Hornsey and Crouch End Journal said the play - currently showing at the Duke of York's Theatre - is both terrifying and funny in equal measures.
He said while some parts of the story caused his fellow audience members to hide behind their coats, others made everyone laugh out loud.
"This ingeniously creepy and funny show is a must-see for those who don't mind a bit of a scare," the critic commented.
However, he added that his girlfriend wishes she had anticipated how frightening Ghost Stories would be, as she is only just getting over the scares now.
One celebrity who was reportedly as terrified of the play as Mr Hepburn's girlfriend was Dougie Poynter of McFly.
Bandmate Harry Judd told the Daily Star he was so scared that he stared at the floor throughout the entire performance.
