Sweet Charity 'one of Tamzin Outhwaite's proudest moments'
Tuesday, 27 July 2010
Actress Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed that appearing in the musical Sweet Charity is one of her proudest career moments.
In an interview with Sky magazine, the 39-year-old said she finds it like an intense marathon each time she performs.
"I get a sense of achievement when I'm taking a bow at the end," she commented.
However, Outhwaite recently walked away from the Theatre Royal Haymarket with more than a proud feeling.
She revealed she currently has a black eye following an on-stage accident involving a dancer's cane, which slipped out of her hot hands.
"As I twirled the cane, it whacked me in the eye. I cried through the following scene," she said.
Sweet Charity is currently booking until December 18th 2010.
It tells the story of the naïve but likeable Charity Hope Valentine (Outhwaite), a nightclub hostess who longs to find love but keeps looking in all the wrong places.
