A new West End run has been announced for A Disappearing Number.
Tuesday, 27 July 2010
Anyone who missed A Disappearing Number in London in 2008 now has another chance to catch it, as the play is coming to the West End in September.
The award-winning production will be appearing at the Novello Theatre from September 10th to 25th 2010, it has been revealed.
Anyone who buys London theatre tickets for the show will be able to see the original cast - David Annen, Firdous Bamji, Paul Bhattacharjee, Hiren Chate, Divya Kasturi, Chetna Pandya, Saskia Reeves and Shane Shambhu - reunite for the play's limited run.
A Disappearing Number won the 2008 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play, as well as the 2007 Critics' Circle Award for Best New Play upon its debut.
It is a complex story that asks many questions which can be related back to mathematics, for example, regarding what is continuous and what is permanent and how people are attached to the past.
Due to this link between the past and the future, it may suit people who liked Blood Brothers, as this play also discusses the different outcomes lives can take in differing circumstances.
