A new musical based on the hits of Chas and Dave is to hit London's West End soon, fans of the Cockney duo may be interested to hear.
Their songs have been written into a new show by Ray Cooney, which is set in London in the 1960s and is based on the life of his mother and father.
Hits like Rabbit and Ain't No Pleasing You will be incorporated into the plot of Stop Dreamin' in the same way as the hits of Abba were for Mamma Mia!.
Mr Cooney told the Daily Star Sunday the musical is the most enjoyable thing he has ever done and he thinks it will be a big hit.
"They wrote good old knees-up songs but also some very ¬moving numbers," he pointed out.
Stop Dreamin' will feature Cliff Parisi - Minty from EastEnders - Vicki Michelle from 'Allo 'Allo and Are You Being Served? veteran Trevor Bannister.
It is thought the musical will arrive in the West End in February 2011.
Chas and Dave officially split up in September 2009, but are to reunite for a brief reunion tour soon.
