Veteran crooner Tony Christie is set to make his West End debut by appearing in Dreamboats and Petticoats at the Playhouse Theatre this summer.
According to a report from Official London Theatre, the singer will join the cast of the popular 1960s jukebox musical from July 5th.
Fans of Christie - known for hits such as Is This the Way to Amarillo and Avenues and Alleyways - will no doubt be booking London theatre tickets to see him in action.
Explaining his reasons for joining the show, the 67-year-old told the website: "I saw the show's original opening night in London almost a year ago and just loved the story.
"As soon as I saw it I've been searching for a gap in my diary to join."
Dreamboats and Petticoats, which features a host of classic retro hits such as C'Mon Everybody and Let's Twist Again, opened at the Savoy Theatre in 2009 before moving to the Playhouse.
