Grease star You can't beat the theatre for entertainment
Current star of Grease Noel Sullivan has praised London theatre for its entertainment value.
Monday, 21 June 2010
Noel Sullivan has said he loves the theatre because it is so entertaining.
The performer, who is currently starring as Dany Zuko in Grease, told Sky News there is nothing like live shows and said he has no patience for people who claim that theatre is on the wane.
"You can't beat going and sitting in a theatre, being entertained by a full cast with a set and costumes," he enthused.
The former Hear'Say singer was speaking at West End Live, an event which took place this weekend (June 19th and 20th 2010) to give London theatre fans a taste of various shows including Grease and The Lion King.
Grease is now in its third year at the Piccadilly Theatre - making it the longest running show in the venue's history - and is currently booking until September 3rd 2010.
Siobhan Dillan is starring opposite Sullivan as Sandy, a good girl who turns vampish to get her man.
