The Woman in Black gets 12 month extension
London theatre fans will now be able to see The Woman in Black for 12 more months.
Thursday, 17 June 2010
West End stalwart The Woman in Black has been given a 12-month extension to its booking period.
According to the official website, the frightening play will now be showing at the Fortune Theatre until December 17th 2011 instead of December 18th 2010.
This may please London theatre fans who may not have had time to visit the capital to see it during its previously announced run.
Based on the novel by Susan Hill, The Woman in Black celebrates 21 years in the West End this month, a tremendous achievement for any production.
Similar in style to the ghost stories of MR James, it tells the story of a solicitor who travels to lonely Eel Marsh House to sort through the papers and affairs of Alice Drablow, who recently passed away.
However, events take a sinister turn when he begins to encounter a mysterious figure dressed all in black whom nobody will discuss.
