Don't forget West End Live this weekend!
West End Live will take place over the weekend, theatregoers have been reminded.
Thursday, 17 June 2010
London theatre fans who also enjoy getting out in the sunshine could have the best of both worlds this weekend if they head to Leicester Square.
West End Live is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday (June 19th and 20th 2010) and is a great chance to see highlights of some of the West End's best plays and musicals for free in the great outdoors.
The organisers said back in May that a record 23 productions will be involved, including Legally Blonde, Hair, Chicago, The Lion King and Thriller - Live, so it is sure to be a great day for all the family.
Performances of hit songs will be taking place all day, culminating with a grand finale from Stomp at 17:45 on the Sunday.
There will also be exhibitions including items on show from the London Film Museum, Little Angel Puppet Theatre and Forbidden Planet.
Westminster deputy leader Robert Davis recently said he thinks the free event is now "a hundred times" better than the Broadway version it was based on.
