Thriller Live gets West End extension
The booking period has been extended for Thriller - Live.
Wednesday, 9 June 2010
Thriller - Live has been given an extension to its West End booking period as a reflection of the continuing demand for theatre tickets for the show.
Anyone hoping to check out the jukebox musical at the Lyric Theatre will now be able to do so until at least January 9th 2011, according to WhatsonStage.com.
The show was originally intended to last for only four months, but demand from Michael Jackson fans, particularly after his death in June last year, ensured that it has stayed open in London's theatreland.
A world tour of Thriller - Live was also launched recently.
The show had a number of new songs added to its repertoire in January 2010 in order to keep it fresh after a year in the West End.
Its producers have also said they will be holding auditions for 12 new performers at ExCel London between June 25th and 27th 2010.
