New Wicked star Lee Mead has been resorting to cunning measures to make sure he gets enough shut-eye in between performing and looking after newborn daughter Betsy.
According to the Daily Mail, he has been taking power naps during the afternoons in order to ensure he looks fresh enough to play Fiyero eight shows a week.
"Lee has to sleep between shows. Betsy keeps him up in the night," his wife Denise Van Outen was quoted as saying via Twitter.
Van Outen and baby Betsy were spotted out and about in north London yesterday (June 2nd 2010), but Mead was presumably having a sleep after his matinee performance.
Mead recently said he was pleased about landing his role in Wicked because it would give hime more time to spend with Betsy during the day.
Tamzin Outhwaite, star of Sweet Charity, also expressed similar sentiments in an interview with the Mirror's Celebs magazine this week.
