Avenue Q 'will not cut references to late Gary Coleman'
Gary Coleman will remain a part of Avenue Q, the show's writer has said.

References to the late child star Gary Coleman will not be removed from Avenue Q, its producers have said.
The actor died from a brain haemorrhage last week and the musical famously parodies his fall from grace with humourous songs such as It Sucks to Be Me.
However, writer Jeff Whitty told the New York Times that this section of the show will not be taken out as a tribute to Coleman.
"When we wrote the show, he represented a certain spunkiness and attempting to overcome life's disappointments," he pointed out.
Mr Whitty said only minor alterations have been made to both the London and New York musicals to acknowledge the actor's passing.
"We probably cut 20 words out of one million," he added.
Avenue Q is currently showing at the Wyndham's Theatre and is booking until September 25th 2010. Due to its risque content, it may not be suitable for the under-12s.
