Joanna Page A Gavin and Stacey musical would be great fun
A musical based on Gavin and Stacey is unlikely but a nice idea, one of its stars has said.
Wednesday, 19 May 2010

Joanna Page has said that while she loves the idea of a Gavin and Stacey musical, she is not sure that it would work out too well in real life.

The Welsh actress told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat she had read a newspaper report recently which claimed that such a show is in the pipeline.

However, she pointed out that the cast would probably be laughing too much to get through a single performance.

"I'll tell you what, it would be absolutely hilarious! I think it would be really good fun. But we'd probably all giggle," Page said.

The actress was spotted this week watching Wicked in the West End during Lee Mead's debut and also revealed that she is a huge fan of Over the Rainbow.

Gavin and Stacey proved a cult hit when it first appeared on BBC Three and spawned a Christmas special last year on BBC One.
