Both Blood Brothers and Mamma Mia! are to welcome new or returning cast members soon, it has been announced.
According to WhatsonStage.com, Niki Evans is to reprise the role of Mrs Johnstone in the moving musical Blood Brothers, which sees twin brothers reunited after years apart, only to find that they have been raised in very different ways.
Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm has been occupying the role to critical acclaim since October 2009, but she is to finish her current run on April 24th 2010.
Evans was formerly an X Factor contestant and will appear in Blood Brothers until August 21st this year.
At the Prince of Wales Theatre, Harriet Thorpe will take over the part of Tanya from June 14th 2010. Theatregoers may recognise her from Absolutely Fabulous and The Brittas Empire, as well as West End shows Wicked and Les Miserables.
Meanwhile, a first-time theatre actress is also to make her debut in Chicago later this month, the Evesham Journal reports.
Kimberley Payne, 27, will take to the stage at the Cambridge Theatre on April 26th, achieving her lifetime ambition.
"It's taken a lot of hard work and determination, but when you work so hard for something you appreciate it more when you get it. It is what I've always wanted," she commented.
