The Woman in Black to welcome new cast members
Two new actors will take over the lead roles in The Woman in Black next month.
Monday, 29 March 2010

Anyone who buys theatre tickets for The Woman in Black for April 6th onwards is to be frightened by two new cast members.

Current stars Julian Forsythe and Christopher Naylor will make way for Michael Mears and Orlando Wells in the lead roles of the classic ghost story next Tuesday, producers have announced.

Mr Mears is currently appearing in Nation at the National Theatre, while Mr Wells most recently appeared in Katrina and The History Boys.

The Woman in Black is to celebrate 21 years in the West End in June 2010, so London theatre fans can expect some gala celebrations at the Fortune Theatre during the summer.

A chilling tale in the same vein as the works of MR James, the play tells the story of a solicitor who travels to the lonely Eel Marsh House in order to sort through the papers of the late Alice Drablow.

However, he realises that he has got more than he bargained for when he begins to see a mysterious figure dressed all in black whom nobody will discuss.
